Fellow Citizens,
Respect, honor, integrity and strong
values are what I will bring with me to the Gratiot County District
Court.
In more than a decade of practice
as a litigator, I have found that the best judges understand the
law, apply only the law and maintain courtrooms where decorum and
respect run both ways. You can count on me to do the same thing.
Complementing the litigation experience I bring, being sworn in as a
bar member by the United States Supreme Court earlier this year
afforded me the firsthand experience of taking the oath and
witnessing proceedings in the highest court in our nation.

I pledge to the people of Gratiot
County that I will be a fair and impartial judge. Having the
advantage of not growing up in our county, I do not owe any favors.
Given this fact, impartiality and objectivity will be easily
achieved.
My background in the law is
extensive. Over the years I have appeared in courts from one end of
the state to the other and many in between. I have cross examined
over 1,500 witnesses. I have conducted depositions in over 35
different states. I have made a career out of defending hospitals,
physicians, nurses and healthcare providers. I am a partner in The Kitch Firm, the ninth largest law firm in the
State of Michigan.
Equally, I have enjoyed the
opportunity to be an active member of the Gratiot community that my
family and I have made our home. My wife, Jill, and I have made it a
priority to teach our sons, Brevin, 5, and Piper, 2, the
importance of faith and giving back.
I have officially filed my
candidacy for Gratiot County District Court Judge. In the coming
months I hope to earn the support and votes of the people of Gratiot
County.
